James Islas has been performing and writing music since the impressionable age of thirteen. He possesses musical talent on a variety of musical instruments including but not limited to drums/percussion, piano, tenor sax and guitar. James demonstrates his musical passion and talents mainly through his bass playing and vocals.

His solid bass lines and wide vocal range have always been a fundamental part of any group or project he is a part of. He has performed in a variety of different bands playing and singing a wide range of styles from reggae to rap, hip hop, rock, R&B, alternative, funk, disco and jazz.

After high school James attended and completed his music education at Musicians Institute in Hollywood. He then became involved in variety of original music projects including but not limited to Castle Bravo with former Berlin keyboardist Richard Larsen. James has also performed in many top 40/Rock/R&B high energy bands throughout San Diego and L.A.
